BCCJR is proud to announce its newest addition – the Young Adult Council (YAC).
The BCCJR’s Young Adult Council (YAC) exists to edify and amplify the voices of Bronx youth in the Social Justice arena. We strive to create safe spaces for young people that are adversely affected by prevalent social issues as well as a failing societal structure. We believe the absence of youth in conversations regarding social change serves as a detriment to progress. Through dynamic trainings and exposure to new experiences, we strive to encourage and empower peer mentoring that will help develop critical thinking and build life skills.
“It is important that we prepare the next generation now in our fight for justice. We must pass the torch to the next generation so preparation is crucial. We’re excited to have these voices at the table,” said Rev. Que English, President, BCCJR.
